LITETM
Logical Imagination Technical EfficiencyTM Model for System Implementation
Logical Imagination offers functional and technical consulting services to customers who seek to implement new business systems. Using our own methodology, the Logical Imagination Technical EfficiencyTM Model for system implementation (referred to as LITE), our consultants ensure that clients receive the optimal return on their system investments.
Logical Imagination has attained an excellent track record in assisting clients in the redesign and improvement of business processes while implementing leading edge client/server software.
LITE is a methodology that encourages team empowerment to ensure that solutions and recommendations are owned by the team. This is fundamental to the success of any new system. Using comprehensive change management methods and group facilitation techniques, Logical Imagination consultants enable employees to realize immediate benefits from improved processes.
The Logical Imagination Technical EfficiencyTM Model consists of six phases:
- Strategic Planning
In an effort to confirm the goals of a new system, key individuals and teams are interviewed to gain a thorough understanding of project objectives, business strategies, company-wide priorities and tactics and critical success factors for the project. This phase is necessary to gain a "big-picture" perspective, and it becomes the foundation for establishing consensus on the project direction, scope and approach.
- Process Improvement
Based on the results of the strategic planning phase, Logical Imagination consultants begin to design (or redesign) processes with a focus on enabling technologies. This phase involves focused group sessions that are structured to encourage creative thinking and active participation by team members. Short-term process improvement recommendations are formulated, target performance levels are finalized, and the groundwork is set for an impact analysis.
- Vendor Selection or Custom Application Development
Logical Imagination recognizes that any new system represents a substantial investment, so the final decision on a product must be thoroughly researched. Logical Imagination consultants have extensive experience facilitating the evaluation and selection process and can assist with the specification and requirements for software and related hardware.
- Future Impact Analysis
All discussion about current processes must be viewed in light of their future impact. Each area of improvement is characterized by the type of enabler required to implement the change (process/policy change, organizational change, integrated information system, etc.) and is analyzed to ensure that the desired improvement is captured in the implementation strategy. A realistic estimate of total project cost is necessary to gain the full funding and commitment from leaders in the organization, and this phase allows us to develop a business case analysis outlining the tangible and intangible expenses.
- Technology Implementation
Following the selection of the appropriate vendor, Logical Imagination can provide complete implementation assistance for any service delivery solution, including network facilitation. If an existing application was not located to meet the needs of the organization, Logical Imagination is qualified to create a custom client/server solution utilizing a variety of tools, including Domino/Lotus Notes, SQL Server, Visual Basic, and Microsoft Access as well as tools to web-enable the solution.
- Post Implementation Assessment
A post-implementation assessment is critical to ensuring the successful integration of service delivery into an organization's culture and answers the following questions:
- How well are services being received and utilized by customers?
- Do they meet customers' expectations?
- What are the problems?
- What new or additional service delivery requirements need to be addressed?
Logical Imagination has determined that LITE moves the customer from concept to completion in the most efficient, cost-effective manner. To discuss particular requirements for your system initiatives, please contact a Logical Imagination representative.
